Jack Lloyd

Jack is a Chartered Legal Executive lawyer specialising in Serious Injury including Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) at Irwin Mitchell. He joined the board of trustees in June 2017. He was elected Vice-Chair of Trustees in September 2018, and then as Chair of Trustees in September 2019. His role with Headway Southampton is to provide leadership to the board of trustees, and a final escalation point for the staff. He works closely with the CEO on strategy development, and ensuring delivery of that strategy.
David Hunter

David Hunter has recently retired after 35 years in the engineering and construction industry, having spent many years abroad in the Middle East. David has a history of managing projects for a major corporation. He is also the partner of a service user that attends Headway Southampton and enjoys sailing, power boating and fishing.
Liz Bailey

Liz Bailey has been running her business and people development Consultancy for over 15 years. Prior to this she had a successful 35 year career with Barclays PLC, which included being an Area Retail Director, when she left she was the Head of Diversity for the UK Bank. Liz was a Non-Executive Director for Solent NHS Trust, for over 9 years and was also an active supporter of disadvantaged local young people at Fairbridge Solent now the Princes Trust. Some of the organisations Liz has worked with include Nationwide Building Society, NHS, Springboard Consultancy, Hampshire Constabulary, Abellio-Greater Anglia, Crown Foods Ltd, Barclays Plc, Southern Cooperative, Oxford Brookes & Portsmouth Universities, and many others.
Dr Emily Thomas

Neuro Rehabilitation Consultant
Dr. Emily Thomas, is a Consultant in Rehabilitation working for Solent NHS Trust since 2015. This involves subacute inpatient care of people with all types of neurological illness and injury as well as longer term disability management of outpatients. She has a special interest in brain injury and completed a PhD in self-identity changes following traumatic brain injury in 2017 and has been a Headway trustee for the last 2 years. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with the family and being active, coaching junior netball and running and hiking in the New Forest.
Trefor Farmer
Trustee
Before his brain injury Trefor was a Public House Licencee for 15 years, including running his own bar located in the Costa Blanca for six years. Trefor also enjoys playing golf regularly and is currently a Headway Southampton service user with the DIRECT service.
